Ellie is a Scottish Belted Galloway.  She has had 3 calves and is the most amazing momma cow.  She lets me do whatever I need to do with her calves, she calves on her own without any assistance.   Her calving usually lasts a few mins and we have a baby on the ground.  I love this cow and have had her since she was a baby.  She used to sneak under the fence from the neighbors cattle pasture and hang out with my horses.  So I purchased her when my neighbors weaned their calves.  She is what started my obsession with cows.  Her first calf was due to her getting in with the neighbors black angus bull.  That calf, a full black heifer has now had 2 calves of her own, and my friends that purchased (Juniper) have said she still continues to be an easy to handle cow.  All of my cows are halter broke.
